Microsoft Weekly - Revamped PS5 runs hotter than original - Closer Look: Snap Layouts and Snap Groups in Windows 11

for Sunday, August 29. Intel Gamer Days is still on; if you're in the USA check out the deals here to be had between Aug 27 - Sep 5.

This last week saw the unveiling of a number of gaming-related Microsoft news, as well as the expected Windows 11 test builds, and even new security flaws. Be sure to catch up via our overview.

Sony has quietly revised its PS5 Digital Edition and the variant is already selling in Japan and Australia. The new PS5 features, among other things, a trimmed heatsink and hotter temperatures.

With Windows 11, Microsoft is making tons of enhancements to the window snapping experience by the way of Snap Assist, which features Snap Layouts and Snap Groups for improved productivity.

Microsoft will not be providing any updates for users who install Windows 11 on unsupported systems. This apparently also includes security updates which often patch dangerous vulnerabilities.

Next week is set to be very quiet in terms of rocket launches but as long as everything goes to plan, we could see Firefly Aerospace perform the maiden flight of the Alpha rocket carrying 26 CubeSats.

This weekend's PC game deals include a double giveaway, free events from major publishers, a trial for Ubisoft+, and a bundle filled with stealth titles, including entries from the Hitman reboot.
