AMD says its display driver was exploited by hackers; Microsoft Weekly; TWIRL #39

It has been an exciting week in the world of Microsoft thanks to lots of Windows updates and builds, and the Surface Laptop SE and Windows 11 SE. Find out more about this in our latest weekly digest.

Microsoft had removed a software called WSATools from its Store without providing detailed reasons. The firm has now "apologized" and restored it, although it was "rightful" in removing it.

There will be two launches in the upcoming week. Arianespace will launch satellites for the French military while Rocket Lab will use its Electron rocket to put two BlackSky satellites in orbit.

AMD has published a long list of security bugs and exploits that its Windows 10 graphics driver was susceptible to. Thankfully for Radeon GPU owners, these exploits have since been patched.

When Intel and Microsoft stated that the 12h Gen Alder Lake architecture is optimized for Windows 11, they probably didn't lie as suggested by benchmarks run on both platforms using a Core i9-12900K.
